“I’m not sure exactly what I want to do, but I know I definitely want to go to UAB and I know that I want to do something with biology. I don’t know if I want to do research in a lab, but I don’t want to be involved with patients, like collecting blood or anything like that. I don't do well with blood and needles. There’s this place where you can send swabs and samples and instead of just testing and culturing it to see what virus you have, they can sequence the entire thing. And you can get much better treatment for whatever it is, because it’s more specific. I would love to do something like that."

"It’s so weird to me to think that there’s a cell, and your whole body is made of those cells, and each little cell does each one of those small processes. To me, it’s like, woah. God made that. For every person. It’s so crazy. I can’t think about it too much. It starts to freak me out. It's like when you think too much about time and space. But I want to understand it."
